A compression dry sack from Aegismax: a 15D ripstop nylon body with tougher 70D nylon panels and three compression straps. The base panel is breathable and waterproof, so air escapes as you tighten the straps while water stays out (maker's description).

Five sizes from 5 to 30 L, in agate grey or blue. Seams are double-stitched, stress points are bar-tacked, and there's a pull handle on the base.

Down sleeping bags and quilts, puffer jackets and spare clothes on hiking, packrafting and bikepacking trips.
Think twice if
Down doesn't like staying squashed: unpack your bag at camp and store it loose at home. Aegismax calls it waterproof but gives no submersion rating, so trust it in rain and a wet pack, not underwater. Aegismax doesn't publish weights or dimensions for each size.

    The base panel is breathable but waterproof, so air escapes as you cinch the straps while rain and wet pack bottoms stay out.

Keep it dry

Wet down stops insulating, and wet clothes pull heat out of you. A few grams of dry bag protect the gear that keeps you warm.

  • Roll it three times

    A roll-top is only waterproof when it's rolled at least three times before you clip it.

  • Compress on the trail only

    Squash a down bag small to carry it, but store it loose at home so the down keeps its loft.

Questions

Which size do I need?
Aegismax doesn't give a size chart. As a rough guide: 5 or 8 L for summer quilts and down jackets, 13 or 20 L for three-season sleeping bags, and 30 L for bulky winter bags.
Can I put it under water?
A roll-top dry bag keeps out rain, spray and a short dunking when it's rolled at least three times. It isn't built to stay under water. The spec table gives the maker's rating where they publish one.
When will it arrive?
We dispatch in 1–3 business days, then it's 10–20 business days on the way to Australia. There's no warehouse or shopfront in between, which is why it takes longer and costs less. If you have a trip booked, order at least four weeks before you leave. You'll get a tracking number by email when the parcel is scanned. Full details on the Shipping page.
Will my order arrive in one parcel?
Gear from the same maker usually travels together. If your order has gear from more than one maker, it can arrive in two or three parcels, sometimes a few days apart. You'll get an email with a tracking number for every parcel, so you always know what's on the way.

No. Orders under A$1,000 clear into Australia without additional duty or GST, so there's nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.
What if it isn't right?
