Questions

How far apart do the trees need to be?
About 4 to 5 m, and sturdy: roughly as thick as your thigh or more. Hang it with a gentle sag, about 30° at each end, and lie slightly on the diagonal. You'll sleep much flatter than in a tight hammock.
Will the straps hurt the trees?
The wide tree straps spread the load so they don't cut into bark the way rope does. Some parks have their own rules about hammocks, so check before you hang.
Will I be warm enough?
Air moving under a hammock takes heat with it, even on mild nights. Below about 15°C, put a sleeping mat inside the hammock under you, and bring a bag for the night's low.
How do I pitch the rain fly?
Run a line between the same two trees, above the hammock, drape the fly over it and peg or tie the corners out low and tight. In steady rain, tie a short drip line on each hammock strap so water doesn't run down it into the hammock.
When will it arrive?
We dispatch in 1–3 business days, then it's 10–20 business days on the way to Australia. There's no warehouse or shopfront in between, which is why it takes longer and costs less. If you have a trip booked, order at least four weeks before you leave. You'll get a tracking number by email when the parcel is scanned. Full details on the Shipping page.
Will my order arrive in one parcel?
Gear from the same maker usually travels together. If your order has gear from more than one maker, it can arrive in two or three parcels, sometimes a few days apart. You'll get an email with a tracking number for every parcel, so you always know what's on the way.
Will I pay duty or GST on delivery?
No. Orders under A$1,000 clear into Australia without additional duty or GST, so there's nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.
What if it isn't right?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it unused and in its packaging. If it's faulty or doesn't match what we published, we pay the return postage and refund in full. See Returns.
