Boundless Voyage's Ti2053C is a 1,100 ml titanium pot with a 300 ml pan that closes over it, about 176 g for both (maker's figure). The pot is 120 mm across and 110 mm tall.
Boundless Voyage says a 230 g gas canister and a mini stove pack inside the pot. The D-shaped handles fold flat and come off for cleaning, and the set comes with a mesh storage bag.
Your whole kitchen packs inside the pot.
- Best for
- Solo walkers who want the pot, stove and fuel in one tidy bundle.
- Think twice if
- Stove and canister are sold separately; check your stove's folded size before you count on it fitting. Bare titanium heats unevenly, so it suits boiling more than frying.
Canister and stove inside
Boundless Voyage says a 230 g gas canister and a mini stove nest inside the pot, so your cook kit is one bundle.
Pot plus pan-lid
The 300 ml pan closes over the pot as a lid, then works as a bowl or a small frying pan.
Big D-handles
The enlarged D-shaped handles fold flat and come off completely for cleaning.
What size pot or mug?
Most hikers only boil water: for dehydrated meals, noodles and hot drinks. Size for how many people you cook for. This one holds 1100 ml.
| Use | Size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Mug | 300 to 450 ml | Tea, coffee, soup, and a cup of porridge |
| Solo pot | 650 to 900 ml | One person: boil for a dehydrated meal and a drink |
| Pot for two | 1,000 to 1,300 ml | Two people, or proper cooking for one |
Why titanium
It's the lightest metal cookware, it won't rust, and it doesn't taint food. It heats unevenly, so it suits boiling better than frying.
Never heat a double-wall mug
Double-wall mugs keep drinks hot, but the sealed air gap means they must never go on a stove or fire.
Stoves are bought locally
Gas stoves sold in Australia must be certified for use here, so we don't sell them. Pick one up at an Australian outdoor store.
Look after it
Warm water and a soft sponge. Titanium needs no seasoning, and a little discolouration from heat is normal.
